Atoosa Kasirzadeh is a tenure-track assistant professor of philosophy (Chancellor’s Fellow) and a core faculty member at the Futures Institute and the Centre for Technomoral Futures at the University of Edinburgh. Prior to this, she held research positions in Google DeepMind (London) and the Australian National University. She received a PhD in Philosophy of Science and Technology from the University of Toronto in 2021 and a PhD in Mathematics from École Polytechnique de Montréal in 2015. Her research spans topics in philosophy of science and applied mathematics, ethics and philosophy of computing and artificial intelligence, and increasingly their intersection with political philosophy. Rae Langton is the Knightsbridge Professor of Philosophy at Cambridge University. She has published groundbreaking work in ethics and political philosophy, feminist philosophy, speech act theory and social justice, and the history of philosophy. For more information, visit her website.

Emily Sullivan is an Assistant Professor of philosophy and Irène Curie Fellow at Eindhoven University of Technology and the Eindhoven Artificial Intelligence Systems Institute. She is a fellow in the ESDiT research consortium and an Associate Editor for the European Journal for the Philosophy of Science. She is currently leading a NWO Veni project (2021-2024) on the explainability of machine learning systems. Her work has appeared in Philosophical Studies, Australasian Journal of Philosophy, British Journal for the Philosophy of Science, Oxford Studies in Experimental Philosophy, among others.”
