Call for Application

We welcome applications from all students who identify as women, and want to specialise in mathematical philosophy. The school’s aim is to encourage women students to engage with mathematical and scientific approaches to philosophical problems, and thereby help to redress the gender imbalance in formal philosophy. It offers the opportunity for study in an informal and welcoming environment, for lively debate, and for the development of a network of students and researchers interested in the application of formal methods to philosophy.

Application Procedure:

To apply for participation, please fill out the online application form. You will need to provide a short statement of purpose as part of the application.

There will be an opportunity for some of the students at the summer school to present their own research in the form of a 15 minute talk. If you would be interested in doing so, please also provide an abstract (up to 500 words) with your application. All students are invited to participate in the poster session – further details of this will be provided soon.
The language of all events will be English.

Application Deadline:

Students with presentations: July 15th, notification of acceptance: July 22th

All other applicants: July 22nd, notification of acceptance: July 26th

Participation Fee:

The participation fee is 20€. Students in special circumstances can apply for a reduction. Students from LMU Munich can attend the summer school for free. More information will be available in due time.
